In the fall, leaves change colors. This is due to a change in temperature and sunlight. Crisp fall air and fewer sunlight hours makes the green leaves begin to die. They will change colors to red, orange, yellow, and brown. These beautiful fall colors last for a few weeks. Eventually, after drying out, they will fall off of the tree and onto the ground. Stepping on the leaves makes a pleasant crunch sound.
