Yes, because Rosie says her imagination can make her start running without thinking about it. It also says she sometimes has to scream and rock backward/forwards when something exciting happens. She even says that she secretly takes "refuge" in a world inside of her head, when she is not in a lesson.

What is it's because they are trying to give a personal narrative of something that happened in their life, and it's also somewhat of an autobiography, auto meaning self and biography means write? Also, if they want to give a personal recount, they need to use 1st person to explain it as people involved in the articles.
