How does GEOALERT work?

GeoAlert uses geo framing technology. This means that we have drawn a virtual frame around nearly every dealership in the United States. When a customer crosses through that frame with their mobile device, we take that information and apply it to an algorithm that takes into consideration how long the customer is actually at the dealership along with other determining factors.

What’s the timeline for an AutoAssistant campaign?

 All A-block customers are identified as part of the audience at the beginning of the month. This is a snapshot of A-blocks, so anyone who transitions to an A-alert after the 1st of the month will not be included in that month’s campaign.  The Assistant begins gradually emailing the audience on the 5th of the month. We don’t hit ALL the A-alerts at one time because we don’t want to overwhelm the dealership with hot leads. Instead, the Assistant slow drips its contact over the first couple of weeks of the month.

The P block fires when there is an upcoming appointment scheduled.  If there is a known appointment, you may need to put in a ticket to get it investigated.

When a customer becomes a hot lead, it will be noted in the Activity & Notes section of the Deal Sheet.  Next to this is a ‘View Conversation’ link that opens a pop-up window with a copy of the transcript.

How do dealers know when someone is being targeted by GeoAlert?

When a customer is identified as being in-market and shopping around, the Activity & Notes section of the Deal Sheet will include a note stating, “Customer has been added to GeoAlert campaign.” This means that we have identified this customer is in-market

Can customers opt out of emails from the AI-Assistant, and will that be visible on the Deal Sheet?

 Customers have an opt-out option on every email; if selected they will not be contacted again by the AI-Assistant and excluded from future campaigns.  This will not opt the customer out of other AutoAlert communications (One-to-One Intelligent Marketing emails, system emails, etc.), and it will not mark ‘Do Not Email’ for the customer.  Opt-outs for AutoAssistant are not visible in AlertMiner.
