BY THEIR NAME: historically, we would refer to people as "client or consumer". As clinicians, we never refer to people as "patients'.
What are some of the goals of the services that we provide?
Improve symptoms or maintain them at baseline, develop age-appropriate functioning, improve functional status, prevent new morbidities.

How does the Golden Thread work?
•Intake Assessment: identifies an appropriate clinical The Golden Thread begins with an intake assessment that clearly identifies an appropriate clinical problem and corresponding diagnosis.
•Treatment Plan: reflect a clear series of goals for helping the client through the identified problem. Each goal should have specific interventions prescribed that reflect best practices and evidenced-based treatments to help guide the client along the path to recovery.
•Progress Notes: demonstrate that the services you deliver match what was prescribed in the treatment plan. Each note should lead into the next, creating a comprehensive story of the client's progress through treatment.
What is an episode?
A defined set of services that an individual receives with a distinct start and end date. An individual can have multiple episodes open at one time (e.g. a person can be enrolled in a clinical, psychiatry, and residential episode simultaneously)
