What does the Optos Machine do?

It is wide angle camera to take a panoranimc view of your retina, up to 270 degrees across, so the doctor can examine the peripheral retinal possibly without dilation drops (worse case do not want to see a suspicious freckle or retinal tear)

Vision is for a routine visit for your prescription and general eye health. Medical insurance is for any specific medical eye condition you have or want looked at primarily

ONLY Biofinity, biofinity toric (NOT Biofinity toric XR), BioTrue 1 Day, Clariti 1 Day, Acuvue 1 Day Moist, toric versions too of said brands..does NOT cover the "more hydrating" or "most specialty" lenses, NO multifocal lenses covered

What does the OCT machine do?

Takes a scan of the 10 layers of your retina to better screen your macula and optic nerve. Can better screen for macular degeneration and glaucoma.

Not necessarily. We could then coordinate your benefits to your secondary insurance if applicable, then VSP. We would mail you a statement if you do have any deductibles owed

What are multifocal contacts and how are they different from doing monovision contacts?

Multifocal contacts have multiple prescriptions in 1 lens, so both eyes can hopefully see all distances together. Monovision is the traditional approach and one eye sees distance and the other eye is corrected for reading, you do lose some depth perfecttion but clarity could be better than MFs
