Read the following story and tell the class what it is about; My favorite color is blue, so mom and dad let me pick a blue backpack out. After I got my backpack I had to get some neat supplies to put in it. Mom got me some crayons, pencils, markers, glue sticks, and safety scissors. Wow, I really feel like a big kid now. On Monday morning mom and dad waited with me down at the end of the drive way. A big yellow bus pulled up with flashing red lights and stopped right in front of my drive way. Mom and dad let go of my hands and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I got onto the bus and looked out the window and waved to mom and dad. They waved back, but it looked like they were crying. I wonder why mom and dad would cry. Once we got to our destination I got off the bus and went into the building. A nice lady helped to direct me where I needed to go. On the door it said Mrs. Apple. I thought that was a silly name. Anyways, I found a seat with my name in front of it at sat down and waited for Mrs. Apple. She began to speak, “welcome my kindergarten class.” It was a really fun day, and I met a lot of new people. When I got home I told mom and dad all about my day, and then we said the Shehecheyanu.
