How can we prevent damages on merchandise coming off the truck and being place on the line?

Ensuring that we are careful placing the merchandise on the line, the arrows on the merchandise are facing upward, not stacking merchandise on the line, and sorting it to the right line.

How can ticketing cause shrink?

Ticketing impacts our inventory, markdown process and customer service. At the register, creating a ticket increases the time it takes to complete a purchase. If we have to generate a ticket, we increase the potential of under-pricing or over-pricing the merchandise. When items have an incorrect ticket, they can miss their markdown cycle which means an item can go longer without being sold.

What should I do if I see a customer take a cart full of merchandise? 

Partner with management immediately and give them any details you may have on what you witnessed. Do not follow the subjects, go outside, try to stop them, etc. Safety is our number one priority!

Identify item without a ticket, call for a price-check, determine the department, search for a matching/similar item, call for MOD or Coordinator support if needed, notify the cashier and customer of the price, and Make and attach the ticket.
