During your independent center. On the bench, at your desk, under your desk, on the floor with a cushion, at an empty table.

Asking an adult.
What are examples of inappropriate behavior in the cafeteria?
Throwing food, ripping up/destroying food or objects, yelling, etc.
What does "I" in RISE Up stand for? What does that mean?
Integrity.
When Ms. Lunsford is teaching a lesson, what should you be doing?
Looking at the board or Ms. Lunsford, listening to what she is saying, participating in discussion by answering questions, etc.
What are the expectations during any independent center?
Follow directions, stay on task, complete assigned task, sitting quietly, not distracting others.
What should you be doing when there is a bathroom break?
Walking to the restroom, waiting your turn, using the bathroom, washing hands, coming back to the classroom quietly.
How should you behave when you're in special and Ms. Lunsford and Mrs. Fox aren't around?
Follow directions, not talk while the teacher is talking, staying in your assigned seat, completing work.

What are the steps to using our classroom break area?
1. Ask an adult if you can take a break
2. Set the timer in the break area for 3 minutes
3. Take your break
4. Clean up when the timer is done
5. Return to whatever you were doing
When we are getting ready to go to lunch/special/recess/dismissal, how do you show you are ready to leave the classroom?
In line spot, body forward, voice off, hands at sides.
When passing by another class in the hallway, what is appropriate to do? What is not appropriate to do?
Appropriate: wave, smile
Inappropriate: get out of line, talk/shout to other people
When you see someone outside of the school door, what should you NOT do? What could happen?
Let them in. They are a stranger and could potentially be a threat to us.
