What do you do when you want to talk in class?
Raise your hand quietly until you are picked.
How do you ask for help in class?
You ask you partner and group. If you still can't get the answer raise your hand quietly and wait.
What is the difference between 1st and 2nd break?
During 1st break we eat, sit, and walk around. During 2nd break we eat, play and run.
What are the different group roles?
Time keeper, Leader, Recorder, Presenter, and Errand
When leaving the classroom for PE, break time or craft, how do we line up?
Quietly and in alphabetical order.
What do you do when you get in class?
Hang your bag outside, unpack, and get ready for circle time.
What would happen if you don't turn in an assignment?
Your name will be written on the homework chart and you'll have to do it for the next day.
When you come to school late (after 8:05), what do you do?
You take a late slip from the supervisor and give it to the teacher in class (so they mark you late and not absent).
How can you respect you group members?
By listening to them, taking turns sharing, and using appropriate language and gestures.
When can we drink? and refill our water bottles?
We can drink water anytime we want, but we can only refill it during breaks.
What is the dismissal routine?
The teacher opens eschool, students get in their bags to pack by table group and then return the bag outside.
If I finish my assigned task early what do I do?
Reflect on your work, DPP, leveled readers, IXL, read a story, or continue incomplete work.
If feel sick what do I do?
Ask for permission, take a pass and go to the nurse, then return to class with the nurse slip filled.
Which voice level is appropriate for group work?
Voice level 3 (normal voice level where only your table group can hear you)
If I have a problem what do I do?
Try to talk to the person involved and reach an understanding. If things didn’t work out talk to your homeroom teacher.
Where are the classroom supplies? And how can we use them?
Classroom supplies are in the first two cupboards. The errand of each group is responsible to get any needed material and return it back after the activity.
If a student was absent, what do they do?
Absent students are responsible for what was covered in class and they can follow up on their assignments from eschool.
If we found money, jacket, lunchbox… what do we do?
Give it to the teacher on duty and she will put it in the lost and found.
If we have a question during small group work what do we do?
Raise you hand quietly and wait for the teacher to pas by.
How should we behave in the cafeteria?
Eat/order quietly. Be polite. Clean up after yourself.
When can we use our classroom library?
You can use the books as resources for any class activity or read silently if you finished your work early.
What happens if your handwriting/assignment wasn't neat?
You have to rewrite and submit it.
When do we have assemblies? And how should we behave?
Monthly. Put an extra effort to be on your best behavior.
How are you going to be grouped throughout the year?
According to interest, teacher's choice, learning style...
What will teacher do when he/she needs you quiet?
Count backwards, voice level zero, if I have your attention, give me five, or hocus pocus.
