Reading increases vocabulary, empathy, creativity, concentration, and promotes a deeper understanding of the world.
Students need to have this at school every day for D.E.A.R. time.
What is their D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) book?
Bookmarks go home Monday and are returned with student reading data on Friday.
Students who know these automatically enjoy math much more and find success more quickly.

This is the day that you don't need to pack a lunch because students can pre-order pizza!

This day has no co-curricular classes, and we tend to head to the woods.

This program begins in October. Students will receive a list of words every Monday and will have an assessment every Friday.

On Tuesdays, math is conducted as a whole group, and we focus on this.

This week students built boats and experimented with how much weight they could hold before they sank.

Students plant, grow, and harvest this. They partake in a weekly salad party, during which we gladly accept donations of salad fixings.

These days are homework-free every week.

4-5 students are buddies with this Birches grade band, and we meet with their class every Tuesday morning.
