1. If a mentee confides that he or she is the victim of sexual, emotional or physical abuse or is being harmed in any other way. 

2. If a mentee tells you of his/her involvement in any illegal activity, including harming or wanting to harm others. 

3. If the mentee admits to harming or wanting to harm him/herself, including suicidal thoughts and self-mutilation.
