Sit quietly at my table reading the books I checked out or books I renewed, or continue working on an activity.

By using kind words, not yelling, ASKING for what you want nicely, and not using put downs or inappropriate language.

We go to the corner of the library, located behind the bookshelves, away from any windows or doors. No talking or noises!
How do you keep your library books clean?
Wash your hands before reading, keep books away from food/drink/gum, keep books away from pets and younger siblings.
Where should you keep your library books?
In a desk if keeping them at school or in a backpack if taking them home.
Somewhere where you remember them and don't lose them!

Get in a single file line, use the EXIT door by the Nonfiction section, walk straight down the stairs to outside, and stand SILENTLY in line.
What happens when you take a book off the shelf and want to put it back?
You need to put it back on the correct shelf in the correct ABC order (use your Library folder or shelf marker to keep the place!).
What/Who should you keep books away from?
Keep them away from markers, water, pets and little children. (Library books are scared of them!)
