What is the very first step when we begin baking?

How do you know the difference between TBSP (Tablesoon) and tsp (teaspoon)?

TBSP is the bigger measurement and has a capital T, tsp is the smaller measurement and has a lowercase t.

Why do we use a cookie scoop?

To be sure the cookies are all about the same size and bake at the same rate.

Why do we crack an egg into a seperate bowl?

1) (most important) In case the egg is rotten-so that it does not ruin the rest of the ingredients 

2) In case there is a piece of shell that falls in when you crack it.

What is the difference between softened butter & melted butter?

Softened butter is still in its original form but is soft to the touch and room temp.  Melted butter is in liquid form and no longer the shape of a stick of butter.

Why is it important to change your gloves and wipe your counter after cracking raw eggs?

Because raw eggs carry bacteria, it can be spread by wearing dirty gloves or if the counter has egg yolk on it. By changing gloves and wiping counters, it lessens the risk of getting sick.
