What is the performance?
If a student is not in their designated spot by the beginning of rehearsal, they are considered this.
What is tardy?
Unless a student has explicit permission, they may not have this device on them during any band event.

If you're taking band for a grade, rehearsals are worth ten points. Performances are worth twenty five points. This is the number of points that football games are worth.
What is thirty five?
This is played at the end of each game, win or lose.

If a student is missing a rehearsal or performance, they will need to fill out one of these. (Full name, please)
An excuse request form.
Students must bring these to all rehearsals. No, pens are not an acceptable substitute.
What is a pencil?
This is the second step for discipline.
What is a private meeting between the students and the band director.
One should check to see if information has been posted on Facebook/Google Classroom/Remind/in an email before doing this.
What is asking the directors a question.
This is the name of the last four measures of the fight song, often played after the team gets a first down.
What is TAG?
You must be present for this much of a school day in order to be eligible to perform with the marching band after said day.
What is half a day?
Tube tops, halter-tops, spaghetti string tops, bathing suits, cut off shirts, and muscle shirts are not allowed at any rehearsal because they don't have these!
This is the third step of disciplining a student.
What is a phone call home to parents.
This should be off of your collar, meaning some may need to use a small tie (but not a bow unless permitted!).
What is hair?
This term refers to the disallowing of a student to perform because of an infraction such as not being in uniform or not bringing their music folder into the band shell.
What is benching?
An ERF filled out within this time frame of a performance cannot be considered excused (unless it was an emergency!).
What are two weeks?
Students are expected to have this in their shoes in order for them to be considered good marching shoes.
What is an arch?
This is the fourth protocol for discipline.
What is removal from practices or events.
This specific phrase will never be considered a good excuse for something like not being where you're supposed to be, or not having the correct outfit on.
What is "I didn't know"?
According to page 21 of the band handbook, students must have this while performing during halftime.
What is fun?
Volunteers must not exceed this percentage of rehearsals missed in order to considered eligible to march with the band.
What is 15%?
This chemical, known by some as dihydrogen monoxide, is mandatory for the success of every marcher.
What is water?
This is the fifth (but not final) protocol for disciplining a student.
What is notifying school administrators for further disciplinary action.
