The Trauma team is a team made that sees patients for some of the most complicated injuries/issues in our medical team. These four doctors can see patients for Joint Replacements and Fracture care for both new and old Fractures.

In Soarian, there is a Self-Pay option available to patients who go to a Baptist ED or OCED and are referred to our Orthopedic group when they are TRUE self-pay or non-par with us. We can allocate it the BHMG 1x ED F/Up and it costs between this amount of money.

The difference between Established New Injury and New Established Patient depends on the years since the patient last saw us. Established new injury is under _ years while New Established Patient is over _ years.

These calls arise when a nurse/medical provider from the Baptist ER call with questions for the On-Call orthopedic doctor. During these calls, we must verify who the on-call ED provider is and transfer to their office's backline. If the transfer fails or takes too long, then you advise your leads chat to have them assist.

Bone Health Clinic hosted by ARNPs April Tschumy and Yasmine Canela are focused on treating patients who have either had prior history of sustained fractures or who suffer from one of these conditions.

There is a type of injury to the hip that we can refer to PCSM for conservative care. But if the patient with this issue is interested in surgical consultation we have to refer them to Drs. Hommen or Ross.
