What is PMBOK?
A party or person that has interest of concern in a given project
What is a STAKEHOLDER?
This document outlines how a project is managed, executed, and controlled
What is the PROJECT MANAGEMENT PLAN?
This is the first document I should review when I get a new project that will outline the scope of the project
What is the SOW?
If I were a PM at a sponsor I would consider Curebase this
What is a VENDOR?
A limiting factor that affects the execution of a project, program, portfolio, or process.
What is a PROJECT CONSTRAINT?
The longest sequence of activities to complete a project
What is the CRITICAL PATH?
A formal short document that states a project exists and provides project managers with written authority to begin work.
What is a PROJECT CHARTER?
This tool is used to create project timelines
What is SMARTSHEET?
What is PMP (Project Management Professional)?
The uncontrolled expansion to product or project scope without adjustments to time, cost, and resources
What is SCOPE CREEP?
A critical project management skill to develop in order to ensure all activities on a project are completed on time
What is DELEGATION?
This is used to define the participation by various roles in completing tasks or deliverables for a project
What is a RACI MATRIX?
The meeting during which you would initiate the forming stage of team development
What is the INTERNAL KOM?
This question from the sponsor can be expected at any mention of hiccups or challenges during study start up
What is "How does that affect the timeline?"?
In the stages of team development, this is when people start to push against the established boundaries and when conflict or friction can also arise between team members as their true characters – and their preferred ways of working – surface and clash with other people's
What is the STORMING stage?
An iterative approach to delivering a project throughout it's life cycle
What is AGILE PROJECT MANAGEMENT?
A decision making principle and productivity tool that helps prioritize your many tasks
What is the EISENHOWER MATRIX (Urgent/Important Matrix)?
The formal escalation pathway for a project issue
What is PM > Director > VP > COO?
I am a sponsor and once my study is actively enrolling, this will likely be my #1 concern initially
What is RECRUITMENT?
The knowledge gained during a project which shows how events were addressed or should be addressed in the future for the purpose of improving future performance
What are LESSONS LEARNED?
An accounting principle where contract value is earned as it is completed and requires tracking of actual work and not invoices
What is REVENUE RECOGNITION?
An organized list of tasks defining the entire scope of a project with decomposition of tasks into increasing lower levels
What is a WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)?
These are the tools a PM should review on a weekly/daily basis for a study actively enrolling
What are the ADI log, the Looker dashboard, the timelines (also potentially TMF/ISF metrics, monitoring schedule)?
These allow measurements of efficiency, productivity, resources, timelines and quality
