The people who go to hell will:
reside in the hell for the people of barzakh. They will be filled with regret and despair. They will face continuous punishment there as they wait for the Day of Judgement, where they will receive even worse punishments
As for those who were neither very good nor very bad
they will remain in a state of hope and fear until the Day of Judgement when their fate will be decided. They will enter into a long sleep until they are resurrected
