What is the bathroom policy during class time?
Try to use the bathroom on your time, ask for permission, and sign out on the list by the door.
Explain appropriate classroom behavior. Include end of class expectations.
Enter, be, and leave the classroom appropriately. Give specific examples about warm up, class conduct, and how to leave the classroom. Your table, chair, and surrounding space should be clear of trash, personal items, and mess. If you made a mess during class or found a mess, please clean it up. Leave your space better than you found it.
Where should you turn in assignments?
Turn in assignments to the turn-in bin in the classroom or on Canvas where applicable.
Why is it important to share your time to talk and monitor your own time spent talking?
To provide support and encouragement to others and to ensure everyone can share their ideas.
What should you do with your phone or smart watch during class?
Keep them in your pocket, backpack, or locker; they should not be on your person during class time.
What do you need to do if you are absent from class?
Check Canvas for information, watch video summaries, and work through the assignments for that day.
How should you prepare for class, whether present or absent?
Be prepared by checking Canvas and completing any assigned work in a timely manner.
How can you show respect for others' ideas in class?
Recognize and value what others think and share, and allow them time to express their ideas.
Why is it important to enter the classroom and start the warm-up question promptly?
It helps prepare your brain for science class and ensures that you are ready to learn. It gives the teacher a chance to check in with students who were absent and to help ensure they are ready for class / caught up.
