Depending on what you're stuck on, you can ask a friend for clarification or problem-solve on your own. If there is no progress after multiple tries, seek assistance from the teacher.

What is the policy on academic dishonesty? 

On the first infraction, the student receives an automatic 0 and an opportunity to redo it for up to 60%.

On the following infractions, as it is clear that the student has not learned the importance of integrity, the student receives an automatic 0 with no redo opportunity.

What is the first thing you should do when you walk into the classroom?

Read the board for the agenda, objectives, and warm-up. Start completing the warm-up individually or with a partner, as instructed.

What is the correct format of assignment submissions?

Physical copy of a notebook or worksheet, as assigned by the teacher. Online submissions on Canvas as applicable.

What is Ms. Su Ji's secret talent that she used many times last year? 

Masterly reading all different kinds of handwriting, even when students couldn't read their own!

What is the policy on extensions? 

An extension request will only be considered if the student sends written or verbal communication to the teacher at least the day before the assignment is due.

What is the procedure when you forget your laptop charger at home?

Laptops and chargers are both required every day. The student will be sent to Ms. May, and the student's parents will receive a call asking them to come drop off the charger. 

The student may borrow from a classmate in the same room, or during passing period. The student is only allowed to visit another class with a written note from a teacher. The teacher reserves the right to refuse disturbing another class.

What is the correct procedure to follow at the end of class?

Stay seated and continue working until the teacher starts the wrap-up. Don't pack up while the teacher is talking. When the teacher gives the word, pack up. Stay at my desk till the teacher checks that the floors and desks are clean, and the furniture is put back in line. Leave when the teacher dismisses me.

What happens if you can't finish an assignment in time and have to turn it in late? 

10% is immediately deducted. If it is work expected to have been finished in class, the student will stay behind during a break or complete it during a study hall. The student is responsible for communicating with Ms. Su Ji about the date and time of the study hall as well as the who the study hall teacher is.
