Although the grace period allows associates to clock out up to this many minutes early without UPT impact, leaving the workstation early to do so is still considered a standard work violation.

Maria was observed on Monday returning from her first break 8 minutes late. During the STU, she stated she lost track of time while on her phone in the break room. She has no active behavioral feedback. Leadership confirmed she scanned back in 8 minutes after her break ended.
What should be issued?
This is the number of calendar days that a Documented Coaching, First Written Warning, and Second Written Warning remain active from the date of delivery.
What is 60 days?
These are the two behavioral feedback classifications used to address unacceptable conduct at Amazon.
What are Standard and Egregious?
This is the model managers should use when preparing for, conducting, and documenting STU conversations with employees.
What is the SBI model?
This subtype is used for infractions like clocking out early, clocking out late, missed punches, early to break, late from break, and meal non-compliance
What is Standard: Working Hours?
John has 65 minutes of inactive time on Wednesday. During the STU, he explained that he couldn't find his manager for 15 minutes when his scanner died, and leadership verified this. However, the remaining 50 minutes, he admitted he was sitting in the break room because he "didn't feel like working." He has an active First Written Warning from 45 days ago for being late from break.
If an associate goes over 12 hours on Monday and Tuesday but isn't given feedback until Wednesday, the feedback should start at this level rather than progressing to a First Written Warning.
What is Documented Coaching?
Violations in this category of the Mobile Phone Use Policy, such as use while driving or on the truck dock, typically result in immediate termination review.
What is Category 1?
Managers are expected to document a STU conversation in this system before creating a behavioral feedback.
What is Engage (or What is Conversation Hub)?
When an associate has inactive time exceeding this many minutes, it is classified as an Egregious subtype and typically results in a Final Written Warning plus progression.
What is 90 minutes (or What is more than 90 minutes)?
Sarah was observed climbing over a powered conveyor belt that is not designated as a pedestrian walkway to retrieve a package that fell. During the STU, she stated she "didn't think it was a big deal" and that she's done it before. She has no active behavioral feedback.
This is the total number of Written Warnings an associate can receive within a rolling 12-month period in the same category before being subject to termination.
What is 6 (Written Warnings)?
Feedbacks are active and reset based on this timing, not the time since feedback entry or approval.
What is time since delivery (or date of delivery)?
STU notes are stored for this many months in Engage under Engagement History: ADAPT History.
What is 13 months?
For Tier 3 associates who fail to meet performance expectations in Leadership Principles and don't complete standard work items, this subtype is used for performance management.
What is Job Performance (T3 Use Only)?
David was observed on the production floor on Tuesday using his phone to text while walking between stations. A Process Assistant documented the incident with photos. During the STU, David stated he was responding to a text from his child's school. He has an active Documented Coaching from 40 days ago for using his phone to play music outside of an approved break area (also Category 2 Mobile Phone violation). David has never had any safety violations.
When an egregious behavioral incident is followed by a standard behavioral incident within 90 days, PXT manually overrides to this level instead of termination.
What is a Second Final Written Warning?
While active disciplinary action doesn't impact your ability to do this, you cannot apply for a promotion if you have active disciplinary action.
What is transfer (or internal transfer)?
When submitting an STU in Engage, this relationship between incident date/time and conversation date/time must be maintained or the system will not accept it.
What is the incident date and time must be earlier than the conversation date and time?
When egregious behaviors like sleeping on the clock, intentional damage to equipment, failure to cooperate in investigations, or hostile work environment don't have a specific classification, they are documented under this subtype.
What is Egregious: Behavior - Subtype not found?
On Thursday, cameras showed Lisa had 105 minutes of inactive time. During the STU, she stated she was tired and sat in the bathroom stall for most of it. She said she had no barriers preventing her from working. Lisa currently has an active Final Written Warning from 60 days ago for mobile phone use (Category 2) and an active Second Written Warning from 30 days ago for leaving her workstation.
