What are elements of plot?
The organizational framework an author uses to arrange information, ideas, and concepts within a written work to improve comprehension.
What is text structure/organizational patterns?
Character actions and plot developments that contribute to the resolution of a story.
What is dramatic action?
A text structure that explains why something happened and what happened as a result.
What is cause and effect?
A re-experiencing of a past memory, or a narrative technique in film/literature that interrupts the present story to show earlier events.

What are topic sentences?
Character A says something mean to Character B. Character B expresses their hurt feelings to Character A. Character A has a conversation with Character C and realizes that their actions were wrong. Character A apologizes to Character B. Character A and the audience are able to recognize the lesson that was learned.
What is the development of theme through character interactions?
The final sentence of a well-written informational text. The intent of this sentence to connect the main idea (thesis) of the text to the greater impact that it may have on the world or the reader's life.
