Describe one social or economic difference between English and French settlements in the Americas.

One social difference between the two settlements is that the French settlement had a better relationship with the Natives Americans than the English had. This is because of the of the way the French treated the Native American population. Unlike other settlements, the French did not permanently settle on land and did not demand land. Instead, the French traded furs with the Native Americans, which led to a healthy relationship with the foreign settlement. Other settlements like English and Spanish forced the Natives off their land, which obviously created a bad relationship.
