I was a Kohathite. Myself, Dathan, and Abiram rebelled against Jehovah when we challenged Moses and Aaron in the wilderness. Along with 250 other men, I offered incense at the tabernacle. Jehovah executed us, showing that Aaron alone was to serve as high priest of Israel.

I was a twin. I received a special blessing from my father, and Jehovah promised me that my descendants would become a great nation. I was described as "a blameless man" and Jehovah said that He was "the God of [my name]".

Although I was very poor, I travelled to Jerusalem every year to celebrate the Passover. I became a disciple of Jesus and later my other sons became disciples too. The Bible says that I "found favor with God".

The Bible describes me as a man "blameless and upright" in God's eyes. Though my wife and others pressured me, I never turned away from serving God. My perseverance and happy outcome gives modern-day servants of Jehovah the courage to endure trials loyally.

I was the courageous spokesman for my brother when we appeared before a tyrant in a foreign land. Jehovah later appointed me to be Israel's first High Priest. Although I served God loyally for many years, I did not honor God at Meribah. Therefore, I was not allowed to enter the Promised Land.

AARON

I taught my family to obey Jehovah's instructions. In obedience to God, I built an ark to preserve my family and the animals through a great flood. Despite ridicule, I faithfully endured as a "preacher of righteousness".

Although heir to the throne and many years older than my best friend, I supported him as God's king-designate. I even risked my life to protect my best friend from my jealous father. My example of humility teaches us all to be happy for others who receive good things from God.

I was the mother of one of God's prophets. I promised Jehovah that if I had a son, I would bring him to serve at the tabernacle. After the birth of my son, I kept my promise and thanked Jehovah in a beautiful prayer.

I travelled thousands of miles as a missionary and established congregations in Europe and Asia Minor. Once a former persecutor of Christians, I converted ad became an apostle to the nations. I was used by Jehovah to write 14 books of the Christian Greek Scriptures.

I was the first king of Israel. In the beginning, I was humble and modest. Later, though, I became arrogant and Jehovah rejected me. I later died during a battle with my enemies.

I welcomed two Israelite spies into my home in Jericho. I proved my faith in Jehovah by hiding the spies, asking them to protect my family, and following their instructions closely. After the walls of Jericho fell, I and my family lived with the Israelites.

My parents "lent me to Jehovah" and encouraged me to make God's service my career from a young age. Though I saw corrupt priests take advantage of others, I remained loyal, honest, and brave. I became a prophet of Jehovah.

I was an outstanding judge in Israel who delivered the Israelites from their enemies. I was cautious, but I courageously relied on Jehovah. My army, although outnumbered 450 to 1, defeated the Midianites, Amalekites, and Easterners.

During a famine that affected Bethlehem, I moved with my family to Moab. After my husband and two sons died, I returned with my daughter-in-law to Bethlehem. My daughter-in-law gathered food for me, and I helped her settle there and marry.

I ministered to Moses and was later appointed to lead the nation of Israel. I fearlessly led God's people into the Promised Land. I trusted Jehovah's promises, obeyed his direction, and served him faithfully.

I was a faithful king who repaired and reopened God's temple, destroyed objects of false worship, and urged people to observe the Passover. Despite the bad example of my father, I kept "sticking to Jehovah".

Though my father Amon was bad, I did "what was right in Jehovah's eyes." I chose to listen to those who loved God rather than those who were bad association. My humility and appreciation for true worship brought him God's favor.

I was the wife of the man who is described in the Bible as the "meekest of all men". I met my husband at a well in Midian where he showed my sisters and I great kindness. After I got married to my husband, I had two sons named Gershom and Eliezer.

ZIPPORAH

I was a prophet of Jehovah who served during the reign of King Jeroboam II. Jehovah taught me not to focus on myself but to care about the needs of others. My experiences teach us all that Jehovah is extremely patient, merciful, and kind to sinful humans.

I was the father of one Israel's great judges. After an angel told my wife that she would give birth to a son, I prayed to Jehovah for guidance on how to raise our child. Jehovah listened to me, and the angel repeated the instructions he had given to my wife, telling us how to care for our Nazirite son.

I was a faithful prophet who made the worship of God a family activity. I set a good example for them by the way I carried out my ministry. My wife was called the "prophetess". I served God for at least 46 years. My name means "Salvation of Jehovah".

I was selected before my birth to be a prophet. I served God faithfully for over 65 years. Though I felt inexperienced and afraid to speak, Jehovah told me: "Do not be afraid..., for 'I am with you to deliver you.'"
