Jesus told his disciples he was going to the Father’s place. He told them, “You know the way to the place where I am going.” Thomas replied that they didn’t know the way. He was probably thinking about a physical way or road. Jesus’ answer indicated the way to the Father is not through a physical way. Instead it is through a person. Memorize John 14:6.

It was the last supper Jesus had with his disciples. Jesus knew that; so he took this opportunity to teach them many things. Jesus used his action – washed their feet – to teach them an unforgettable lesson. If Jesus, their Teacher and Lord, washed their feet, what should the disciples do for one another? They should (?). The Jewish religious leaders were afraid that if many people followed Jesus the Romans would come to take away the current religious structure and bring troubles to the nation.
