Books of the OT
This book tells about the beginning of the world. When sin entered into the world, God began His plan of rescuing people and redeeming creation through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Genesis
Hundreds of years before it happened, a major prophet told of the coming Messiah. His words are recorded in this book.
Isaiah
What were the men and women called that shared the message about a Messiah/Savior in the Old Testament.
Prophets
This book's story includes Boaz, a family redeemer. He brought back what his relatives lost. Jesus is our Redeemer. He bought our salvation from sin by dying on the cross
Ruth
This book is about a prophet sent to Nineveh. Hint: this prophet tried to hide from God.
Jonah

Why did Jesus have to come to this earth & die?
This book contains wisdom. God created the world and has a plan for how it works best. We can become wise by knowing and loving Jesus.
Proverbs
Why is the Old Testament an important part of the Bible? Or why didn't God just start the Bible with Jesus coming first?

Although it all took time, God's timing is perfect & He had a plan from the very beginning. Over & over we see our need for God and we learn about His character, plus the stories point to a coming Messiah, named Jesus(God's Son).
