What are two promises we made in the EVS staff pledge?
1) We will do whatever it takes to make each day at the school run smoothly and efficiently. We are happy to support any position on campus and are prepared if need be to speak with a student, pick up a supervision assignment, file paperwork in the office, etc. 2) We will engage our students with a strict but caring approach to behavior management. We will remain firm with our high expectations, but will also listen to students and provide rationale for our direction. We will be sincere with our students at all times. 3) We will not accept "good enough", because we know that all of us are capable of "great." This includes paying attention to every detail, holding everyone accountable to policies, procedures, and respect of our campus and fellow students. We will all be accountable for striving for our full potential every day 4) We will listen to our fellow staff members’ feedback and address concerns in a respectful way. We will have an open door policy with our classrooms and department which will encourage collaboration. 5) We will never make excuses. Our students and families deserve our best selves every day we come to work. 6) We will provide our students more than academics in our classrooms and departments. We will show more of our personality, whether it be through our humor or personal interests, and we will get to know our students. We will help students find solutions for problems outside of the classroom.
