Viviparous- development occurs inside the female's body and offspring is nourished through a placenta. Oviparous-Development occurs in an egg that is hatched outside of the female's body.

They do not have a placenta. Their fertilized egg only develops for a few days then their tiny offspring enter a pouch where they are nourished via nipples containing milk
