The 13th Amendment should rather be celebrated because it really ended slavery in all states.

Why should the 13th Amendment be celebrated rather than Juneteenth?

Juneteenth is in recognition of the Emancipation Proclamation, which only freed the slaves in the states that had seceded from the Union. However, the 13th Amendment abolished slavery in all the slave holding states. And Juneteenth only refers to what happened in Texas. All the other seceded states abided at the time.
