What is the goal for the max amount of time that compressions are interrupted?
What is limit ALL interruptions to 10 seconds or less
What is the role of the secondary person(s) to arrive?
What is bring crash cart to room, get pads out and ready, along with backboard. When ready turn pt to right, apply back pad and backboard as well as front pad. (limiting interruptions to less than 10 seconds), turn on defib, take over compression for next 2 min.
If you open the crash cart drawers, what else are you required to do?
What is call a CODE BLUE!

Who records during the code?
What is a floor nurse should begin recording once the code is called. Once the code team arrives the 4E Charge RN or Rapid RN will record.
What items will you need from the supply room that aren’t found in/on the crash cart?
What is NOTHING! j/k it’s possible, but NOT likely.

If advised to shock, how would you do that?
What is while in AED mode, IF ADVISED, the defibrillator will automatically charge to appropriate Joules, and will light up the Orange SHOCK button (labeled #3). Make sure everyone is CLEAR by stating with a loud voice, "ALL CLEAR!" Then press the lit up ORANGE button and resume compressions.
When should you call a CODE BLUE and how do you call it?
What is call a code if the patient is unresponsive, without a pulse, and/or not breathing. A code is called by pressing the blue code button on the wall AND calling x44444
What is the role of the primary RN?
What is being available, with a computer, to answer any questions about what happened, recent history/labs, other pertinent information, be available even after code team arrives
