Start by humbly and yet confidently explaining the policy that we ask that every child is in their age appropriate classroom. If the parent doesn't comply, seek to understand and involve a coach if necessary. Remember: people over policies!

Count your kids, have an updated list of your children, set expectations, lastly make sure you leave the current area better than you found it.

TRUST AND KEEP CALM
Level 1- Constant state of the TG building.
Level 2- Program continues but no transitions and count your kids
Level 3- Programs stop, lights off, doors locked and barricaded, children positioned in the safest place in the room (hidden/out of sight). Level 3 lock down is only cleared by a verified police officer.
What do I do with a kid that doesn't want to engage in an activity?
Seek to understand, encourage them to join in, remember that the goal of the activity is to connect so adjust if necessary.

Bathroom policies!
1. Teachers go in the volunteer room or main TG hallway.
2. One teacher or a coach watches the child walk to and from the bathroom in the hallway.
3. On playground, two teachers escort the child to the restroom. Sweep the bathroom to make sure its empty. While standing at the door, send the child in by themselves to use the restroom.
4. ONLY FEMALES ARE ABLE TO ASSIST A CHILD IN USING THE BATHROOM.

If it is an unregistered event but they have a security tag, they are good to go. If they don't have a tag, make sure they have been to the front desk to fill out paperwork.
If it is a registered event, explain and send them to the team leader.
