Repentance seems scary and/or I'm scared of the Bishop

Repentance should be looked at as of a way to become better.  If, for instance, we gossip behind someone's back, that hurts us because we think about people as inferior to us, but really it reflects on us, usually that we feel insecure, and need to gossip to feel better.

If we repent, we say sorry to the person we gossiped about, and all the people we told as well.  That helps the person feel better about themselves, and you feel better for making it right.  You become a better person, as well as everyone around you.

Repentance is an great opportunity to change and draw closer to God.

The Bishop is there to HELP you with that process if   necessary
