This bad guy loved power and wanted to rule over the people and dissolve the church but the monarchy had been dissolved and judges established. Not able to defeat Moroni and his army, he and his followers went over to the Lamanites.

This dirty king who shares a name with an Old Testament prophet with great boat building skills used his power to excuse his materialism, wickedness and drunkenness.

After Nehor was executed this person gained power and forced an election to anoint himself king. After losing the election he rallied his followers, called Amlicites, allied with the Lamanites, and started a civil war. His campaign eventually fails but not before tens of thousands are killed on both sides.
