Great Prophets
This great prophet warned the people in Jerusalem that they needed to repent or be destroyed. They attempted to kill him and he was warned in a dream to fly with his family into the wilderness.
Who is Lehi?
This mighty warrior of the Book of Mormon led the Nephite people to many victories. He is the author of the title of liberty.
Who is Captain Moroni?
This amazing missionary went to the wicked people of King Noah to preach repentance. He was burned alive, but his testimony was heard by one of King Noah's priests who later went on to become a great prophet.
Who is Abinadi?
This villain burned Abinadi the prophet by fire. He himself was later burned alive by his own men when he forced them to leave their wives and children behind when the Lamanites attacked his kingdom.
Who is King Noah?
This terrific woman was the mother of two prophets (Nephi and Jacob) and traveled from Jerusalem through the wilderness to the promised land.
Who is Sariah?
This famous prophet was obedient to the Lord and able to get the brass plates from Laban. This allowed his people to retain their language and help them remember the Lord in their new land across the sea.
Who is Nephi?
This amazing group of young men were of Lamanite descent. Due to their incredible faith, although many were injured during the numerous battles they participated in, none died.
Who are the stripling warriors OR the army of Helaman?
This incredible missionary taught King Lamoni after working as his servant caring for his sheep. When Lamanite marauders attacked he cut off a bunch of their arms. His testimony helped convert not only King Lamoni but all of his people to the gospel.
Who is Ammon?
This Book of Mormon villain owned some valuable brass plates. He refused to give them up, stole, and attempted to murder. He was beheaded.
Who is Laban?
The name of the prophet only referred to in the scriptures as "The Brother of Jared". His name was revealed by revelation given to Joseph Smith in 1834. Through his faith he saw the hand of God light stones for their voyage.
Who is Mahonri Moriancumer?
This fantastic prophet and king taught his people from the temple before passing the kingship to his son. His words were so powerful that all his people repented and were baptized.
Who is King Benjamin?
This Nephite warrior went to Alma (the elder) to receive inspiration from the Lord on where to search for their Nephite brethren who had been captured by Lamanites. Due to his faithfulness and obedience he was able to intercept the Lamanite east of the River Sidon and save every single Nephite captive. He shares the same name as a good friend of the original Nephi.
Who is Zoram?
This amazing missionary was imprisoned with many of his brethren in the land of Middoni. After he is freed he finds and teaches King Lamoni's father. The work of him and his brethren result in the conversion of the Lamanites in seven lands and cities and establish the people of Anti-Nephi-Lehies
Who is Aaron?
This group of infamous robbers are governed by secret oaths and combinations, they murder those in the judgement seats and fill them with their own members.
This Lamanite woman served the Queen (wife of King Lamoni). Before Ammon preached to King Lamoni she had already been converted to the Gospel for many years due to a remarkable vision of her father. After the Queen faints being overcome by the spirit; this woman is able to raise her up through her great faith.
Who is Abish?
This wonderful prophet was originally a wicked priest of King Noah. Only after hearing the testimony of Abinadi did he convert and become a prophet of the Lord baptizing people in the Waters of Mormon.
Who is Alma?
This outstanding warrior was one of the few righteous people of his days. He was chosen to lead the doomed Nephite Armies when he was only fifteen years old.
Who is Mormon?
This villain turned missionary was a lawyer. He attempted to trick Amulek by bribing him to say that there was no God. He became extremely sick with a burning fever after he recognized his wickedness. He was later healed by Alma and Amulek and as soon as he was healed he was baptized by Alma and he began "from that time forth to preach unto the people".
Who is Zeezrom?
This wicked man was originally among the Nephites but was kicked out due to his wickedness. By pretending to serve the king of the Lamanites, King Lehonti, this man is able to trick his way into becoming the second in command. He later murders King Lehonti and marries his wife becoming King of the Lamanites. He then goes on to fight a devastating war with the Nephites. He dies by the hand of Captain Teancum.

This prophet prayed for his people during a time of great wickedness. When a crowd gathered he predicted the murder of the chief judge Seezoram by his brother Seantum. He was given the sealing power.
Who is Nephi? (Not the original one, but the one that was around in 21-20 BC)
This incredible Nephite Captain not only led his army to victory, but he was also the sanctioned assasin that killed two Lamanite Kings; King Amalickiah and his brother King Ammoron. When he killed King Ammoron it cost him his life and was greatly mourned among the Nephite nation. "For he was a man who had fought valiantly for his country, yea a true friend to liberty..."
Who is Captain Teancum?
This missionary duo taught in the very wicked land of Ammonihah. They were forced to watch faithful women and children be burned alive, and were imprisoned. They were beaten and starved. Their prison was torn in half and all their persecutors killed. They then went to Sidom and established a church.
Who are Alma and Amulek?
This wicked Jaredite conspires with the daughter of Jared (a son that rebelled against his father the king NOT the Jared brother to the prophet) and murders the king in exchange for her hand in marriage. He later goes on to murder his father-in-law to become King of the Jaredites. He establishes a society of secret combinations.
Who is Akish?
This ambitious Nephite was anxious to reclaim lands taken by the Lamanites. He took a group of Nephites into the land of Nephi and found much good among the Lamanites. There was a great deal of blood shed in his group as they fought about it. He went back to Zarahemla gathered up another group and returned to the Land of Nephi. Here he made a deal with the Lamanite King and was allowed to settle the land of Lehi-Nephi and Shilom. He was a righteous man but his son Noah becomes very wicked. His grandson Limhi becomes a great leader and led his people back to Zarahemla, discovered the plates of Ether, and sought to serve the Lord.
