Though they have periods of righteousness and wickedness, these people were the opposing tribe of the Nephites, who often lived in wickedness throughout the Book of Mormon.

The brother of Jared was concerned about the lack of light in the barges he had built. He asked the Lord to light up 16 stones and saw something miraculous.

This prophet was told to preach repentance, the ten commandments, and the Atonement to a wicked group of Nephites. Though he was protected as he taught, he was eventually burned at the stake for his remarks.
