What is nutrition, sleep, avoid drugs/alcohol 1.Nutrition- In addition to keeping you physically healthy, eating a balanced diet increases mental and emotional stamina. Contact campus nutritional services to find out if your school offers nutritional counseling. 2. Sleep- Lack of sleep is a trigger for manic and depressive episodes. There are so many social activities going on in the evenings when you are in college that it can be challenging to create a regular sleep routine, but it’s very important. 3. Avoid alcohol and drugs- Alcohol and drugs are also triggers for episodes of mania and depression. Avoiding them will help you to manage your symptoms.
