You set this up when a customer reports stolen or lost cheques.
What is a Stop Payment and/or Alert? Did You know? - You cannot set up a stop payment on accounts in dormant, frozen, pending open or closed status. A certified cheque is technically guaranteed by the bank and, therefore, you cannot apply a stop payment.

What is select ‘Save in Progress’ and add notes to indicate what has been done. Notes: Never mark a task “Completed” unless all required steps in the procedure have been followed. Also do not mark a task “Completed” in order to avoid a task becoming overdue. Your notes in the task will indicate what has been done and support why it is overdue.
