In this principle, nurses work within the limits of their legal scope of practice, education, experience, knowledge, skills and judgement to ensure safe and competent nursing care.
What is Nurses provide safe and competent care?
Occurs when a regulated health professionals, who is legally and competent to perform a controlled act, temporarily grants their authority to perform that acto to another individual
What is Delegation?
Governing body for Registered Nurses (RNs), Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs), and Nurse Practitioners (NPs). Protects the public by setting for safe and eithical nursing practice in Ontario.

In this principle, nurses are honest and fair practitioners who strive to build a trustworthy, therapeutic, nurse-client relationship.

What is Competence?
- Performing a prescribed procedure below the dermis or mucous membrane
