Will missing a class hurt your final grade?
If you miss class:
1. Communicate. Check-in and let me know right away. If we need to make a plan to get you caught up, it's best we do so right away.
2. Confirm. Look in our syllabus schedule to see what chapter we covered in class and to see what assignments are due that week.
3. Ask questions. Let me know if you have questions on what we covered in class or on that week's assignments.
No, missing a class will not hurt your grade as we have no points earned for attendance alone. As long as you complete (and do well on) the assignments, you will be on track.
What happens if you miss the due date for an assignment?
I understand that life happens, so late work is accepted. You will need to email me to find out what to do to turn it in late. If you miss a quiz, there will be a five-point deduction because we do go over some quiz answers in class.

If the weather is questionable, we might meet virtually through WebEx. If this happens, you can either attend live or watch it later. I will record the class and send you a link to watch it.
