Give an example of a customer use case and/or social global impact of iQ.
Widowmaker blockage detected (https://www.nhregister.com/metro/article/Portable-ultrasound-device-a-major-improvement-13727820.php)
iQ’s donated to doctors in Africa to diagnose pneumonia (https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/15/health/medical-scans-butterfly-iq.html)
From Nathan’s friend:
This morning I was showing one of the directors the iQ (on me) when a patient came in and we decided to try it for real. It was a 20-something year old who took a pretty serious fall in the mountains, mainly complaining of left rib pain. We scanned his left chest looking for pneumothorax, rib fractures, and hemothorax (which he didn't have) and I caught a view of his spleen. It looked a little abnormal so I switched the probe to FAST mode and did a full FAST scan. He had a full blown + FAST with free fluid in morrison's pouch and a very positive suprapubic view - from a splenic rupture... Incredible catch. If I hadn't been there scanning with the iQ he may have just had a chest xray and been discharged but instead we found a surgical emergency.
Are we hosting on-campus interviews? How do students sign up?
We are hosting OCI's only at the University of Maryland.
If you want to invite the candidate to an OCI the next day, please schedule with them on the spot. Spots will be open on a first come first served basis.
To invite to an OCI, ask the student to write an X on this sheet next to the timeframe they would like (this will be printed).
To protect OCI privacy of other students, only show the “public facing” sheet to students. On the internal sheet, write the students name on the same time slot.
That evening, the recruiter will email the student and confirm the time/place.
