In chapel/small group how should you act?
You should stay seated with you chair on the ground unless told to stand, you should keep mouths silent unless told to sing, and you should listen with eyes on the speaker ready to learn something new. There is no talking while in chapel. This is a time to be respectful and obedient.

- What does your attendance need to be as to not get disenrolled?
o Above 80%, sports are given a pass to come late. Please let your Team Leader know when students will not be attending club.

Where should the window be and how should you act on the bus?
The window should be to the line, if cold outside the window should stay up. Remain seated on the bus the whole time, till the bus comes to a complete stop. You may talk in a whisper to the person next to you but never should you yell or stand on the bus.

- Should you bring homework to By The Hand every day? If you don’t have homework what do you do during homework time?
o YES! EVERY DAY! Once your homework is done you need to quietly read or work on the work in your homework folder that your Team Leader has prepared for you!

o You should raise your hand and ask to speak with your Team Leader later or talk to them on the side, not when they are teaching.

How do we dismiss to the busses?
Everyone will stay seated in there chairs, when your bus is called you will put your chair on the table and line up. Then you will quickly and silently leave the classroom in a line and file in the back of the line in the hallway.

- What does “No Tolerance” mean? And give five “No Tolerance” activities.
o No tolerance means that discipline skips straight to site director and a “Time Out”

- What should you do if you need a volunteer or supplies to complete your homework?
o Raise your hand silently and patiently wait for your Team Leader/Assistant Team Leader/Volunteer to get to you. If you need a volunteer let you Team Leader know as soon as you get to club so that they can assign someone to help you. Keep in mind that there might not be enough volunteers for students. PARENTS PLEASE SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER!

How to use the bathroom and when is it ok?
You will stay seated and raise your hand. When called upon you may ask and if told yes you will take a pass and walk to the bathroom and walk back. When you return you will come in silently and hang up the pass and take a seat.

How do we act at dinner?
We will wait in a single file line to be served our dinner. We will then walk quietly to our table and eat and talk at a level 1. Then when you are finished you will NOT get out of your chair. You will wait for Mr. David to come around and pick up your trash and throw it away. You will not throw anything or move from your seat.

How do you exit and walk into the building from the bus?
You wait till the bus comes to a complete stop and then file out of the bus one seat at a time. You walk quietly into the building following the team leader. He or She will then drop you off from the line where are you supposed to be.

- When are the times during club that you are able to do homework? How much total time could you potentially have to finish homework?
o During HW time (half hour), during enrichment (half hour), during college prep (half hour), total of 1.5 hours

- Explain how the ticket system works. How do you get tickets? What do you do with received tickets?
o Tickets are received for any good behavior and participation and can be given to students by any adult in the building. Students must write their name on their tickets and drop tickets into their classroom’s ticket bucket before the end of the day. Lost tickets are not replaced. If you ask for a ticket you will not receive one. Each day there will be a student drawn to win a prize.

How do you enter onto the bus?
You will already be in a line and walk quickly and silently onto the bus and file in the first available seat and sit down. You will never get up and change seats. You will only move again when the bus is completely stopped and time to get off at your stop.

- What should I be doing right now to make sure that I get into the high school of my choice?
o I should be working as hard as possible to keep my grades up and to be on good terms with my teachers. I should be spending Homework time and computer time and reading time working hard and staying focused.

- What is bullying? What do you do if you feel like you are being bullied? What is the penalty for bullying?
o Bullying is repeatedly demeaning another person. Bullying is a “No Tolerance” activity. Bullying can take the form of emotional, physical, verbal and cyber.

How will you transition to and from enrichment?
You will remain seated in your chair. When your enrichment is called you will line up and you will walk silently to your enrichment. When time to leave you will wait for the team leader to call you to line up. When everyone is in line you will silently walk in a line to where your team leader will drop you off.
