What's the difference between an export and an import?

What does it mean when something flops?

What is a boom and what is a recession?

An export is a good/service that a country sells overseas. An import is a good/service that comes from another country. 

When a product flops, it means that it fails and it doesn't achieve what goals were established for it. 

A boom is when the economy grows and standards of living improve. A recession is when companies close down and living standards worsen.
