Cardinal & Ordinal Numbers
Numbers like 1, 2, 3, 40, and 100 are cardinal numbers. We use cardinal numbers to count and tell how many of something we have.
Ordinal numbers tell the order or position of something. These are numbers like first (1st), second (2nd), third (3rd), and one hundredth (100th). We also use ordinal numbers to talk about a student’s grade or year in school.

EX: Grants, loans, and scholarships are different types of financial aid.
