There are 6 recognised causes of conflict in the preliminary CAFS syllabus. One of these is multiple role expectations. Provide an example of how multiple role expectations has an impact on the wellbeing of individuals.

A working parent may experience conflict in juggling many roles and responsibilities at work and at home. E.g. the parent is expected to complete many tasks at work and then come home and do all the cooking and cleaning for their family causing feelings of stress and potentially isolation for the parent. To combat, they may ask their family to help with chores such as folding the washing to reduce the multiple commitments placed on one person.

Provide a specific example of how goal setting can enhance wellbeing.

Goal's are the objectives in an individuals life that are aimed to be achieved.
When individual's and families make progress on achieving goals, there is an intrinsic reward and sense of satisfaction. These positive emotions have the potential to motivate further goal-directed behaviours and actions which can contribute to increase wellbeing levels. The identification and accomplishment of short-term goals thus becomes the motivational stepping stone for achieving medium and long term goals that will satisfy needs and wants. E.g. I set the short term goal to run 5km a week in training for a marathon. This allows me to eventually achieve my medium term goal of running a half-marathon which then motivates me to continue this path. This helps to achieve the long term goal of leading a healthy lifestyle and therefore my physical wellbeing is enhanced.
