The grip is not a part of the union and finds it hard to find work in Hollywood. When they get a job they only have it for a few weeks.

The DP buys a new wireless follow focus and a new monitor every time they are hired for a new project. Causing them to constantly have to look for work.

Responsible for pulling focus. Also responsible for supporting camera (ie. managing tripod, building and breaking down camera, ND filters and Matte Box)

Upper body strength and skills with tools.

The camera being used on set uses a lot of batteries causing the entire productions electricity bill to rise.
