Pick 2 people from your group to role play how to handle this scenario. One person will be the camper, and one person will be the staff.

Talk to the camper to get more information about how they are feeling. Take their temperature. If they have a fever call for pick up. Call the parents regardless to see if they can do an early pick up since the camper isn't feeling well.

B-No

C-Both

C-Both

You do not need to go inside the bathroom stall with them but if the restroom is a locker room you do need to go inside the locker room with them. If the restroom is a regular restroom like at Manhattan, you do not need to go inside with them.

If you are on a field trip it is always good to go in there with the campers.

You do want to use the buddy system with the restrooms.

If she is showing signs call her parents/guardians immediately for pick up and recommend seeking medical attention

If she isnt showing signs have her sit out for a little bit give her ice if needed.

Still call her parents/guardian to let them know what happened and that you are monitoring for signs of concussion. We should always call for a head injury.
