Write an equation to represent the number of croissants consumed in the following situation. D'artagnan is a musketeer. D'artagnan has 198 Penguins on his island. He also has friends that visit sometimes when they come they each consume 36 croisants per hour and D'artagnan consumes 65 croissants and a baguette regardless of the number of friends that visit.
If we let y represent the number of croissants consumed and x represent the number of friends visiting we would say that y = 36x + 65
The penguins and baguette were not related to the function we needed to write.
