every residence hall has mailboxes for you and your roommate. your RA will give you your own code. anything bigger than a magazine/envelope will be delivered to the Package Postal center located in the Memorial Union.

Equipment can be rented out, and many intramural sports teams play/practice here!
In our indoor pool area we have a sauna, two 25-yard lap lanes, and a hot tub.

offers academic courses in innovation that are open to both undergraduate and graduate students and is home to our student business incubator, where students are able to have a space to work on their projects and to create their innovative ideas.

student project design suite, 48 work benches made from biomedical materials, electronics, 3D printing, vehicles, metals, wood, and composites.

What is an RA?
Resident assistants create a welcoming fun and safe environment for all residents. they hold personal and floor meetings. they run creative events for residents to socialize.
what are some outside sport things
Over 15 miles of trails behind the recreation center that are used for snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, etc.

Our largest lecture hall can seat 300, usually teaching assistants or Maine Learning Assistants floating around the room to help, and ensure active participation in class!
Each professor is required to hold office hours each week so that students can ask questions and get to know the professor 1:1.
What are the different rooms?
6 classrooms, 12 team meeting rooms, student common rooms on 1st and 2nd floor. teaching labs for mechanical engineering, and mechanic engineering technology.
how do you schedule an appointment. will my insurance be accepted?
call in advance, many insurance policies are accepted. if you don't have insurance you can purchase some through Umaine.
What will the rooms look like?
this is an average standard double sized room for first year on campus students. exact measurements and dimensions are located on the posters outside and the university website.

In order to graduate, students must complete 120 credits which is usually broken up to be 15 credits per semester (30 credits per year).
In-person and online classes summer and winter session courses are another option for students!
Each student is assigned an academic advisor who works within the college of their program. Their advisor will create the student's schedule for their very first semester, however, after your first semester, your advisor will meet with you to discuss your schedule for the upcoming semester and you will register for courses yourself!
Is this building only for engineers?
NO!! available to all majors. add that you've studied here.
What is UVAC?
University volunteer ambulance corps is a student run on campus emergency medical service.
what will be in the room?
everything you see here will be provided. students can bring their own fridge or microwave but not both. you can rent both through the school.
can I work at these places?
YES!
accommodations
Students with 504 plans or an IEP can connect with Student Accessibility Services to obtain accommodations for note-taking, exams, etc. Students without previous accommodations can also work with Students Accessibility Services to receive services! Their new location is at the University Credit Union!
The University of Maine offers tutoring services through a platform called Knack for 100 through 400-level courses depending on student needs (individual and group sessions are available). Tutoring through the Knack platform is another employment opportunity for students on campus!

no forced triples on doubles or singles. LLC are dedicated buildings or floors geared towards different interests or majors.

all halls will have laundry. there is a website to inform you when your clothes are done or when the laundry is occupied
honors and study abroad
The University of Maine is home to one of the nation's oldest Honors Colleges.
There is no separate application for our Honors College program - students are considered upon review of their application to the university. The Honors College 2-year civilizations sequence will cover all general education requirements with the exception of mathematics and science courses. The class sizes within the Honors College are much smaller (12 students) and are more Socratic in their teaching approach. Honors College students will prepare and defend a thesis during their final 2 years in the program.
