A teacher calls and asks you where they can find the setting to shuffle questions in one of their Classic Quizzes. What do you advise the teacher?
Advise the teacher that there is not a setting to shuffle questions within a Classic Quiz and that they would want to add their questions to a question group in order for the questions to be shuffled for each student.
What areas can we check to see if a user’s notifications are bouncing?
Masquerade as the user and check their User Settings for an exclamation mark icon. Then go to /messages and see if the notification has a bounce message.
A student calls and tells you that they are not seeing a course on their dashboard in Canvas. You are able to find that they are enrolled in the course and the course is available. What would you check next and what might you advise the student?
Masquerade as the student and check the All Courses list to verify it is showing for the student in this space. Advise the student to navigate to Courses > All Courses and then choose the star Icon for the course they wish to display on their dashboard.

What are differentiated dates in Canvas and how would a teacher incorporate these on an assignment?
Differentiated dates in Canvas is when a teacher sets different availability/due dates on an assignment for different sets of students or sections.
A teacher can incorporate these on an assignment by editing the assignment, scrolling to the assign to area, and then selecting the "+" icon to add an additional set of dates.
A teacher calls asking you how to setup extra credit within their course. When investigating you find that the course is already setup with weighted assignment groups. What would you advise the teacher to do.
Advise the teacher to create another assignment group causing the total percentage in the course to go above 100%. Then they will then need to add an extra credit assignment with a point total above 0 to the newly created group.
For bounced emails, how do we verify the email is active for a student and teacher
Send an email to the bounced email and wait for the user to send us a reply confirming they received the email.
A student calls and tells you that they ran into some internet trouble when taking a quiz in Canvas and they would now like an additional attempt on the quiz so they can complete it. What do you do?
Verify that they do not have any more quiz attempts left on the quiz in question and then advise them that we cannot add more attempts for them and it would be left up to the instructor to decide if any additional attempts are allowed. If the student would like us to, include the instructor on the followup email and provide them with the relevant links and details.
Both quiz engines offer a feature called Moderate. What is this feature used for?
Moderate is used to provide additional time or attempts to students that are assigned to take the quiz.
Assignments have 4 different Submission Types. What are they and what are the differences?
No Submission - When you do not want students to submit an assignment in Canvas but you still want them to be graded.
Online - When you want students to submit their assignments using Canvas.
On Paper - When you want students to submit an assignment to you but not through Canvas.
External Tool - When you want students to submit their assignments using an external app (LTI) enabled for your course.
A teacher calls and says that grades they had previously entered for all but one student have disappeared from their course gradebook and are now replaced by an uneditable cell. What would you check and what might you advise the teacher.
Verify the reported behavior in their gradebook and check the assignment to see if it is assigned to all students. If the assignment is not assigned to all students advise the teacher to re-assign the students through the assign to area.

Grade Passback refers to information that is being synced to SIS from Canvas. (Grades)

Verify that the discussion is ungraded then masquerade as the student and check their file storage. If the file storage is at or above capacity advise the user to remove unneeded files.

Practice Quiz - Students receive points for answering questions correctly but the points do not count towards their final grade.
Graded Quiz - Students receive points for answering questions correctly and the points do not count towards their final grade.
