What is a soft skill?
Personality traits people have that help them get work done- things that are difficult to teach and demonstrate, but are as important (if not more important) than hard skills.
What is a hard skill?
Specific things people have learned or been taught- the subject matter, procedures, etc. a person needs to know in order to do their job. These are easier to teach and demonstrate than hard skills, but are not necessarily any more important.
What does postsecondary mean?
After high school, post = after, secondary = high school
How does college relate to the soft skill of self-motivation?
College is the first time for many people that they are responsible for getting themselves out of bed, getting their work turned in, getting to school on time, etc.
Apprenticeships are a great opportunity, so why don't more people do them?
They are very competitive- it is hard to get an apprenticeship, because there aren't that many available and a lot of people want them.

Answers could vary- some advantages include that it is generally cheaper and faster, while some disadvantages include lower pay and less upward mobility.

It depends on your goals, skills, interests, priorities, etc.

Subsidized loans are better- they do not have any interest while you are in school because the government pays for, or subsidizes, it.
Why is trade school typically cheaper than college?
It is not that CTE is always cheaper per year than college- but you can usually get through a CTE program in fewer years than it takes to get a college degree, meaning you spend less money overall.
