An individual is diminished in this CPC if: The caregiver does not recognize the need to plan for child safety and has not developed a plan in the past of has developed plans that were unrealistic to ensure safety, resulting in maltreatment or the child being unsafe.

An individual is diminished in this CPC if: The caregiver frequently does not demonstrate their attachment to the child through actions, however at times struggles with ordering their lives according to what is best for the child.

An individual is diminished in this CPC if: The caregiver has little to no skills related to providing for basic needs of child. The caregiver does not feed, care for or supervise child resulting in maltreatment or danger.
Demonstrates adequate skill to fulfill caregiving responsibilities.
What is the purpose of rating CPC's in on-going?
They are assessed to identify those that need to be the focus of behavioral change goals and interviews and case planning.
An individual is enhanced in this CPC if: The caregiver values and believes that it is their primary responsibility to protect the child.
An individual is enhanced in this CPC if: The caregiver has demonstrated that they are able to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune and/or change.
Resilient as a caregiver.
An individual is enhanced in this CPC if: The caregiver identifies their child's needs as their number one priority. The caregiver has demonstrated through their actions that they place their child's needs about their own.
